Finishing
Finitions
Patina is a term used to describe the look that takes the wood surface as the years passed. That surface is altered by ultraviolet rays that progressively transform the original hue and the ageing of the wood. As proof of an antique origin, patinas are sometimes pronounced. The Old Pine Workshop’s wood texture of antique reproductions is exactly the same texture as genuine antique furniture would have acquired naturally with time. All our finishes are achieved in an artisanal way by means of artisanal staining so as to reproduce that patina. The antique finish of your choice among a wide range of possibilities is applied. The antique reproductions are a faithful representation of olden times: The original staining, paints, and varnishes are reproduced in the same way as the pioneers did in the past. because of that, it is possible for the Workshop to build a new cabinet with the genuine antique looks that will even mislead a connoisseur.
