Paints, stains and wood finishes

The patina acquired by an antique furniture is a term used to describe the appearance and texture the wood surface obtain through the years. Reproducing this aspect is no longer a secret to us. Evidence of ancient origin, the patinas are sometimes accentuated.

All our finishes are done the traditional way using natural finishing products. They are safe to you and the environment. The antique finish of your choice is made and chosen from a wide range of examples. The original stains, milk paints and varnishes techniques are used as the pioneers used them before.

At the finishing stage of our solid pine reproduction furniture, two opportunities are offered to you: a stained patina furniture appearance (recently stripped furniture) or an original painted furniture with authentic milk paint.

Did you know that it is possible to obtain the same authentic patina texture that could have developed naturally over time? The antique furniture designed with this technique is for us a way to make you travel in time.

In order to preserve our environment, we promote the use of environmentally friendly and non-toxic products such as natural oils: Livos and hemp, crafted wax, ancient shellac varnishes and milk paint.

In addition, for those that wood finishing knowledge concern, the traditional finishes products are available at our workshop and used by students in our seminars.
